Nainital, a glorious hill station for tourism in Uttaranchal was discovered by Lord Barron, a Britisher in 1841. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides. The first one is Naina (2615 meters) the second is Deopatha (2438 meters) and the third is Ayarpatha (2278 meters). Naina is the highest mountain among the three.

NAINA DEVI TEMPLE -: Naina Devi temple is a must visit in Nainital especially for people who seek spirituality and wish to offer their prayers to Goddess Naina. This temple was originally constructed in the 15th century during the Kushan region is greatly visited by local devotees during religious festivals.
Naini Lake -: Naini Lake, a natural make of mother earth is set amidst seven mountains that surround this stagnant water pool and high peaks that almost touch the sky. Many tourists flock to view its enchanting beauty that stretches over 3.5 km and also where one can sit on the banks and enjoy a view of sunrise up to sunset that reflects with vibrant colors on this lake.
The Mall Road -: The Mall Road is a point of union of Mallital with Tallital that makes it the busiest places in Nainital especially during the peak seasons from May to end of June.It has been renamed as the Govind Ballabh Pant Marg by the government.
The Zoo -: The Zoo is about 1 km from the Nainital bus stand and is perched at a height of 2100 mts above sea level spanning over a large open area. Now, it has been named as the Govind Ballabh Pant high-altitude zoo.
Governor’s House -: Governor’s House or Raj Bhawan was built in 1899 and designed by F.W. Stevens in the traditional Victorian gothic style also called the ‘domestic gothic’. It was the summer residence of the governor of northwest province and now converted into an official guest house of governor of Uttarakhand and state employees.
Snow View Point -: Snow View Point offers tourists with a spectacular view of the majestic Himalayan Ranges and snow clad peaks like Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot and Trishul view point. It is elevated at a height of 2270 mts above sea level and accessible via road by trekking 3 km uphill.
Cave Garden -: It is the largest addition to the list of tourist attractions in Nainital located in Sukha Tal which is 1 km from Mallital just next to the Kumaon University campus.
Hanuman Garhi -: Hanuman Garhi is a spiritual place for travellers and tourists situated about 3.5 km from Nainital main bus stand and sits at a height of 1955 mts above sea level. It is easily accessible via road and a short walk suffices rather than using any other method to reach there.
Naina Peak -: Naina Peak formally known by the name of Cheene Peak is also spelled as ‘China Peak’ by some people. It is situated at an amazing height of 2615 mts above sea level. It is dedicated to Mrs. Dorothy Kellet, a British painter.
Land’s End -: It has become the main attraction of Nainital set at a height of 2120 mts above sea level that offers a good view of the nearby hills and mountains along deep ridges and valleys. You can view the beautiful stagnant water of the Khurpatal.
Aryabhatt Research Institute Of Observational Sciences-: Also known as ‘ARIES’ in short is a 50 year old Observatory about 9 km from Nainital and situated 1 km from Hanuman Garhi.

Nakuchiatal -: Just 24 km from Nainital and about 4 kms from Bhimtal lies the mystique lake with 9 corners or the 'nine-cornered lake'. Surrounded by dense forested hills on all sides it provides solace from the maddening rush of the plains.
Naukuchiatal is nourished by an underwater spring, which keeps its water levels high. Naukuchiatal Lake is the deepest lake in the Lake District of India (Nainital) and acres of oak forest in the lesser Himalayas.
Corbett National Park -: Corbett National Park is just 60 km away from Nainital situated in Ramnagar in the District of Nainital, Uttarakhand with an area of 521 sqkms. Corbett National Park aptly called The Land of Roar, Trumpet and Songs, Â is set on the banks of the mighty Ram Ganga river in Dhikala.

Ranikhet -: Situated at a height of 1869 mts, this beautiful hill resort is about 63 kms from Nainital. Its beauty lies in its simplicity. The beautiful Pine Trees, the Orchards, the Temples create a nostalgic feeling. Ranikhet is a hill station and cantonment town in Almora district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is the home for the Kumaon Regiment (KRC) & Naga Regiment and is maintained by the Indian Army. Ranikhet is within sight of the western peaks of the Himalayas. Ranikhet is popular for two of its temples Jhoola Devi Ka Mandir which was constructed some 400 years ago in honor of the local Goddess, who protected the people from man-eating tigers and the other being the Kali Devi ka Mandir, which has a large number of bells. The site of the temple is believed to be 5000 years old.
Binsar -: Binsar, situated at an altitude of 2,480 mts is a beautiful, quiet and wild Himalayan destination with rich natural surroundings among dense forest.
